SALARY
HK$17,000 – HK$30,000 per month

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Veterinary Assistant / Animal Care Assistant, your responsibilities may include:
– Provide daily care and basic assistance for cats, dogs, and other animals receiving veterinary treatment.
– Observe animals closely and report any changes in their condition to the veterinary team.
– Assist veterinarians and veterinary nurses during examinations and routine treatments.
– Help with feeding, cleaning, bathing, and other daily animal-care tasks when required.
– Handle and transport animals safely within the clinic or hospital.
– Prepare examination rooms, treatment areas, equipment, and medical supplies.
– Assist veterinary staff before and after medical procedures or surgeries.
– Support animals during recovery and provide basic post-treatment care.
– Keep animal wards, cages, examination rooms, and treatment areas clean and organized.
– Clean and disinfect equipment, cages, surfaces, and facilities according to workplace procedures.
– Assist with maintaining basic animal-care records and following veterinary instructions.
– Provide polite and professional assistance to pet owners and visitors.
– Help maintain a safe, comfortable, and hygienic environment for animals.
– Follow all workplace safety, animal-handling, hygiene, infection-control, and clinic procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should have:
– A genuine interest in animals, particularly cats and dogs.
– A caring, patient, responsible, and attentive attitude.
– Good communication and teamwork abilities.
– Good physical fitness and the ability to work comfortably around animals.
– The ability to follow instructions and established veterinary procedures.
– Previous experience in a veterinary clinic, animal hospital, pet shop, animal shelter, grooming center, or similar environment is an advantage.
– Veterinary, animal-care, or related qualifications are an added advantage.
– Candidates without previous experience may also be considered, subject to the employer’s requirements and available training.
– Willingness to work full-time on a rotating shift schedule.
– Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays when required.
